I built the new workshop myself and it took around 6 months. During that time I carried on my bookbinding work in a smaller space, within the house. Here are just a few pictures to show the progress of the project.

First the old workshop had to be demolished. It was becoming too cramped.

The foundations of the new building are supported on steel pillars.

The walls are going up.

And now the trusses, to support the roof and create a loft space..

The finished building. I didn't want to harm the trees, so I built around them. The workshop is clad with cedar to prevent damage from weather and insects.

The inside is very spacious.
